Shadowboxer set for world premiere!

Great news! Shadowboxer will have it's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2005.

Some of you may/may not know that I worked on this film. Working on scenes with Cuba Gooding Jr., Stephen Dorff and the rest of the cast and crew in Philly was great! Some of the actors on this film I didn't get a chance to work with include: Helen Mirren, Vanessa Ferlito, Monique, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Macy Gray and a number of other very talented actors. I hope to work with them sometime in the future.

Lee Daniels was awesome at the helm! What else can I say, the brother is talented beyond words. He will certainly be directing and producing many, many more films and I hope to have the chance to work with him again very soon.

Well that's about it for now. Take care and God Bless. - Angel

ps. Here's a press release I found on the Toronto International Film Festival website (http://www.e.bell.ca/filmfest) announcing the premiere.

“Contemporary World Cinema is the Festival's core programme. Festival programmers scour the globe to find the best of current international filmmaking and the result is a showcase of inspiring new work to thrill Toronto's film-savvy audiences.”

“Two films have been added to Contemporary World Cinema, a showcase of the rich diversity of world cinema. SHADOWBOXER (USA), a directorial debut from producer Lee Daniels (MONSTER'S BALL), tells the story of Rose (Helen Mirren), a contract killer who is silently dying from cancer. She embarks on one final job with her partner and stepson, Mikey (Cuba Gooding, Jr.). As she is about to kill Vickie (Vanessa Ferlito), the wife of an underground mob boss, Rose has a crisis of conscience and is compelled to save the life of Vickie and her child. Forced to hide out to avoid discovery from those seeking Vickie's death, Rose, Mikey, and their new family seek to find love and redemption under the most unexpected circumstances. SHADOWBOXER is a world premiere.”
