TV Audition: Pilot "Faceless” @ Aquila/Wood Casting.
The role of Director.

This was my first time in this office after dropping off here
for quite some time now. So I'm VERY happy about that. On
the other hand, it was for such a small scene (we're talking
one-liners here people) I didn't feel I had a chance to show
what I could do. A bit frustrating..trust me. Still, I know
I'm here because I'm trying to be seen...forge new
relationships, and get some more LA credits on my resume.
Hey...maybe this will be the first of many in this office.

From my experiences, one liners are more about the look than
the delivery of the line. It's funny when I've been to auditions
in the past and I would see actors rehearsing the one line 10
different ways "Are YOU sure you want to get off here?!",
Are you SURE you want to get off here?! Are you....SURE....
you want to get off....here?! Are you sure you want to get
off HERE?! I would just smile and wait my turn.

Trust me folks...the scene is NOT about us. Just stick and
move. Deliver the line as natural as possible and move on.
It's not that heavy. "Wow, the way Angel delivered that
line...let's sign him up as a series regular"....is most likely NOT
going to happen. (I've learned to never say never.) Still, for
these roles it's about the look. Do you look like the character
in the mind of the Director, Producer, etc. You would be
suprised how many of us over do it.

Oh well...that's my take on this one. Keep in mind, since I
haven't heard from them yet. Feel free to disregard all of this
and get William Shatner on it:
Are...you...SURE...you want...to...GET OFF(take your moment, look around the room).....here?!

I'm still very happy that I was called in. I think we sometimes
take for granted what an accomplishment "being seen" is.
It's cool....My time will come.
