Feature Film Audition: "Broken Windows” @ Cricket Feet Casting

This audition was in San Diego. Yep, you heard right, San Diego. Not Los Angeles! Still, it was a great opportunity and this is what I came out here for. Like I’ve said before I’m on a mission and this time my mission took me 2+ hours away. It’s cool, it was a Sunday and I didn’t have anything planned. So off I go to San Diego. Yeah baby!!

The drive was great and I continued to rehearse on the way. I was off-book and made strong choices. The casting people were great. I was confident and left feeling good about what I did. We’ll see, off to the next one.

I left the audition and decided I would visit some fam that I have in San Diego. We ended up running fours games of basketball (I had my kicks with me just in case). Good news….my team won every game. Bad news….I severely sprained my ankle. Lovely. But you know what…at least I didn’t break anything.

I drove back home in quite a bit of pain. When I get home, I remembered that I was supposed to attend a party being given by my acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. Hmmmm, maybe I’ll pass on this one. I told Ivana I would drop by. Besides, didn’t I say this year I was going to try to get out a lot more and network. You know what? I’m going! So I went, and had a great time. I ran into quite a few friends from class, other actors that I know in the struggle, and even few celebrities. Bottom line….I was up in the place. I’m glad I went. So today I had an audition and a party. It was a good day!
