Feature Film Audition: "Scratching The Surface”

I was very excited about this audition. First, it happens to be cast by one of my favorite CD's in town. She is one of the best. So nice to everyone and she really loves our industry and is a very big supporter of actors. I'm definitely rooting for her. Oh..and the fact that she brings me in to audition is great too! Smile. Second, I read the script (you know I had to be prepared and do my research) and was really impressed with it. It was a very quick, enjoyable read and my character (the role I read for. smile.) is a nice part of this ensemble cast. We're talking Talia Shire (yes, from the "Godfather" people!), Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons), Jeremy London and the writer/lead Laura Buckles. Finally, did I mention it films in Louisiana? Now THAT would be nice.

I had about 6 or 7 pages of sides to work on and I must say I really worked very hard on it in preparation for the audition. Yes, I was prepared and off-book...Yes, I made strong choices....and Yes, I did the best I could at the audition. After that it's in God's Hands as usual. We'll see. Would be nice to book a gig. It seems like I haven't booked anything since 2007! That's cool.....it's coming. I can feel it.
